Charles County, MD Launches Camino Guide To Help Business Owners

Charles County Maryland went live with their Camino Permit Guide this week!
They began with commercial permit types, with residential types to follow in the coming months. The County wanted to prioritize making it easy for entrepreneurs to open, expand, and grow their businesses. By using Camino, each business owner will be provided a customized permit guide containing the required steps for their specified project and location. Our GIS rules engine will also flag if projects are impacted by wildlife preservation zones or hazard areas (like flood plains).
With their guide, the County is looking to decrease the number of questions to their Permitting Office and increase the number of complete applications upon submission. In addition, the County is excited to provide a portal for their internal employees that will drive consistency across a disperse and complex permit process.
